A large part of who I am is what I believe. I am a Christian who wholeheartedly believes the following:

God, the Creator of the Universe, made mankind in His image to commune with Him. Man chose to sin, and was thus separated from the perfectly righteous God. God thus set up a system of sacrifices to fulfill the blood-debt of sin, and chose the Israelites as His covenant people. However, these sacrifices were just a foreshadowing of the Plan to follow, a Plan which He fortold through prophecy.

When the Time came, God sent a Part of Himself -- a Person of Himself -- His Incarnate Being, Jesus Christ -- to live as a human on earth, as One Who is All God, and All Man. Throughout Jesus' ministry, God showed His love and power to those around Him, teaching on His new covenant. The sinless Jesus Christ was crucified, acting as a perfect and final redeeming sacrifice for our sins. On the third day, He rose again, triumphing over death, and providing life for all who believe. After showing Himself as risen and resurrected to more than five hundred people, Jesus ascended into heaven, promising to return again.

After Jesus left, He sent His Holy Spirit as Comforter to those who belong to Him, to guide and empower those who call on His Name. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, believers spread the Good News of Christ's forgiveness and the resulting reconciliation with God throughout Jerusalem, Judea, and the ends of the earth.

Finally, when The Day is come, Jesus Christ will return to earth to take those who follow Him back to the Father. Those who loved and served Him while they were in the flesh will be with the Triune God for all eternity.

As a result in that belief, I have been involved in Christian fellowship throughout my life. I am involved with Living Hope Fellowship as my home church in Oregon. While I was at Bradley University, my home-church-away-from-home was Faith Christian Centre Assemblies of God. Also while at Bradley, I was involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for three of my four years, serving as a Small Group Bible Study Leader for my second year in IVCF, and as Small Group Coordinator and as part of the executive board for my last year. To be able to serve God and my friends in those capacities these past years has been an awesome privilege and responsibility for which I will always thank God. Two other great Christian organizations on campus are Campus Crusade for Christ and the Students High on Christ.
