Professional History & Information

Full Time

I presently work at a major manufacturer of analog and mixed signal integrated circuits in Hillsboro, Oregon, as a test engineer (my official title is "Member of Technical Staff, Test Systems Development -- but "test engineer" is so much easier to say). I've been with the company since July, 1997. In October, 2000, I moved from the Beaverton campus to the new Hillsboro campus. (For those confused as to why I don't name the company: our internet policy, to make sure I don't misrepresent that I speak for the company, forbids me from publishing on the internet that I work for the company.)

Part Time

During college, I had two part-time jobs in high-tech fields:

Between my sophomore and junior years, I interned at an elctronic-equipment company with their engineering department, verifying that the prototype boards and the corresponding schematics, reference designator lists, and bills of materials all correctly corresponded.

Furthermore, every summer and winter as I had breaks from classes, I have provided parttime computer solutions for Omega Analytical Services. Included in my workload has been installation, testing, and troubleshooting of PC hardware and software, and creating the company website.

Educational History & Information

Classes

I have earned a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) after four years at Bradley University. I've kept a record of the classes I've taken throughout my college career, with links to catalog-descriptions of those classes.

Projects

Bradley's EE program is highly laboratory-oriented, with 5 semesters of labs required to graduate. The first four semesters comprise both weekly analysis and design labs and a final project (including a presentation). The fourth semester begins moving toward larger projects, requiring a five-week "mini-project". The final month of the fourth semester and the entire fifth semester are devoted to research, design, implementation, and presentation of a Senior Project with a fellow student and one or sometimes two faculty advisors.
