My name is Randy Cox I am writing on behalf of my Grandfather Robert Willson, who is an Operation Crossroads veteran. He was a pharmacists mate onboard the USS Ablemarle, the ship that delivered the Baker bomb to Bikini. His ship was second closest to the explosion which I think was approx. eight miles. He watched the explosion from the top of on of the two cranes (the ship is a sea plane tender he said that the distance was about 90 feet above the deck).

He would like to share his experience and find if there has been any formal action against the government for endangering the lives of the sailors. One of his closest friends was also at the test and was on the ship closest to the explosion. Both men are suffering from an array of diseases. My grandfathers friend has parkinson's disease and my grandfather suffers from spine problems, heart problems, nerve problems and a few others. any information or contact would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Randy Cox and Bob Willson
