Subject: Blast on Christmas Island

My name is Ret Sgt Myron (Willie) Williams. I was sent to Christmas Island in April 1962 and stayed until July "62. At that time I was stationed with the 125th Signal Bn, 25th Inf Div, Schofield Barracks, HI.

We had radio rigs (ANGRC-26) set up to work through the bomb blast. If not in the rigs, we were behind the rock walls in an open field. We were given goggles and were told to sit facing away from the blast.

Is there anyone from the 125th Signal Bn, would love to hear from them.

I was also the NCOIC of the Signal School at Schofield teaching IMC from 1961-62.

Love from the both of us,

Margie and Willie

Myron (Willie) Williams
