Why George??
George Wilson set the process in motion for reuniting this group of 1950's weathermen who served at Eniwetok. During a visit with Don Whitman in the summer of 1992, George remarked that he"...would enjoy knowing what happened to the men we served with at Eniwetok." On returning to Kansas City, Don commenced the search. Fortunately, a few were located in time to make contact with George before his death.
Subsequently, Harold Wainscott and others joined in the search, and the numbers multiplied, but it was George Wilson who prompted the efforts that have led to this organization of Wetokians. Thanks, George!!
Hello Again! We realize there are many deceased members of this Wetok Fraternity and welcome future memorials you submit to us.
The time certainly flies by! We started early in January remodeling our kitchen. The middle of February we both caught some kind of bug. Just to escape from both, March 3rd we packed up & went lo Florida for two weeks. Thank goodness we got rid of the bug, but the kitchen job was here waiting for us when we returned.
Thanks for your cards & letters. Enjoy!
Betty Jo
