Please send me the NAAV Medical History & Data Questionaire.

I served in the US Army, Co. D 369th EASR at Camp Mercury, NV during the Tumbler-Snapper tests in 1952. I worked at the test site (Forward Area) before, during, and after each of the 8 detonations.

I was diagnosed with cancer of the stomach in 1996. Most of my stomach and as much of my esophagus as possible was removed during an operation.

In May of this year, 1998, my Doctor informed me that I have badly diseased lungs, using the term "old junk " in them.

I was a equipment operator at the test sites and my job was to dig slit trenches and fox holes with a ditching machine with no protection from radiation and the large amount of dust generated from the equipment. I feel that all of my medical problems are from this.

Sincerely,

Bruce Thiede
