Hi Keith,

My name is Joseph C. Senn, USN, IC2. I served on the USS Collett DD730 in 1958.

My duty in 1958 was in the Marshall Islands. We were there in the spring as part of Joint Task Force Seven. Eniwetok and Bikini was where we pulled liberty. Mostly Bikini. During the atomic testing other ships, along with ours, were positioned at different intervals from the actual blasts.

We all wore badges to measure the radiation we were exposed to. These were recorded after the blasts. We all stood on deck and covered our eyes. Still the light and heat was intense. If I have any after effects I'm not aware of them. I would like the addresses where I can write to for my military records. If you would like any other info, let me know.

Thank You

Joe Senn
