I ran across your web site following an article in the local paper.

I would be interested in learning more about your organization. I participated in Operation Ivy, the Mike shot on Nov 1. 1952 where I was gunnery officer on the USS O'Bannon (DDE-450), part of TG 132.2.

Several years ago as I was looking at the time line of history in an encyclopedia doing research for an article I noticed that 1 Nov 1952 was not even listed. I thought this was indeed odd since this was the date that man first possessed the power to destroy his planet. This troubled me and provided the inspiration for a novel, Rush to Armageddon, The Race to Build the Hydrogen Bomb, which was published last year. Although a fictional story it does draw on my personal experiences and hopefully will serve to educate the younger generation on the dangers of thermonuclear war.

Available on amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com I thought it might be of interest to your members.
