The sixth in a series of atomic tests at the Pacific Proving Ground.
Purpose of the test was the detonation of 17 weapons and 43 weapon effects tests.

The Five Task Groups: Scientific, Army, Navy, Air Force and Base Facilities.
Task Group 7.1. There were 1200 scientific and military personnel who positioned armed and detonated the weapons and conducted weapons effects studies.
