This series of thermonuclear and atomic weapons tests consisted of 17 detonations at Bikini and Eniwetok atolls, including the first airdrop by the U.S. of a thermonuclear weapon.

August, 2005 Norman Kroll who served aboard the USS Walton DE 361 at Operation Redwing 1956, has passed away.

John Hallenbeck worked in the PX on Enewetok.

Gerald (Jerry) Cetto was aboard the USS James E. Kyes DD 787 during Redwing. He also sent the DNA Fact Sheets for the Operation.

Marty Karrer an FTA3 was aboard the USS James E. Kyes.

March, 2004 Glenn Griffeth an Airman First Class on Eniwetok and a Portland Oregon resident has passed away.

Gary Anderson was, an enlisted radioman (RM2), aboard the flagship USS Estes AGC12.. Gary sent the USS Estes's Plan of the Day for June 12, 1956.

Bill Mozingo, USN Ret., whose father served in Operations Wigwam and Sandstone and died at age 59, sent a list of the Ships on station at Redwing.

David J. Thomas Crossroads atomic veteran, of Cape Coral, Fla. sent us a great newspaper article apprearing in the Cape Coral Daily Breeze (Florida) about Air Force Captain Norman Proctor during Operation Redwing.
