The author was a participant in this four-shot test series conducted at Eniwetok Atoll in the nothern Marshall Islands in April and May, 1951. He arrived at the atoll in October 1950 and departed November 1951. He has several times been an invited presenter at proceedings of the Institute of Medicine, testified before the Committees on Veterans Affairs in both the Senate and the House of Representatives, participated in a workshop conducted by the Office of Technology Assessment, and presently serves as president of the Atomic Veterans Radiation Research Institute, Inc.
He is a former board member of the National Association of Atomic Veterans, a member of the board of directors of the National Committee for Radiation Victims, and was a member of the State of Maine Commission on Agent Orange and Radiation Exposure, appointed by Gov. John R. McKernan, Jr. He was also appointed as a public member of the State of Maine Commission on Mental Health, appointed by Gov. Joseph E. Brennan. Mr. Campbell is also a VA certified Service Officer.
The author is a legal secretary on the staff of the Maine Unemployment Insurance Commission, having served in that capacity for 21 years.
