Nagasaki, September 1945

This is a picture of Sasebo, Japan on the Island of Kyushu not far from Nagasaki. It is where we shipped out to return to the states after our responsibility of being the first occupation forces on Kyushu. Most of us so called old timers were sent home and new and fresh troops assumed the duty after 1945.
