My name is Wayne McCormick. I was attached to Headquarters, Joint Task Force Seven during Operation Hardtack in the spring and summer of 1958. We were billeted on Perry Island. I was a Navy Illustrator reporting to Navy LCDR Schmidt on the staff of Air Force LtGen Luedecke, Commander of JTF-7. I was well acquainted with Gen. Luedecke as well as AF Gen Griffith, and Army Gen Dick.

I was also temporarily assigned to Johnston Island during that period when JTF-7 took command of that facility for extended testing. My duties included preparation of presentation material that the General and his staff used to talk to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, UN and NATO forces, Secretary of Defense, members of Congress and other visiting officials. I have many (fading) memories that I would like to share if anyone cares to talk with me.
