Dear Sirs:

I too served in the organization of Task Force One.

I was assigned to Des Ron 7, Des Div 71 under Captain Parker.

I was on the USS Walke 723. At the time I was a SKD3.

We were stationed at the ten mile ring, and I was on both tests. Our job was to follow the cloud and take soundings every few miles to check for radiation. We followed the cloud for 7 days until it started toward Eniwetok where they had to evacuate the personnel on the island.

At that time we returned to Bikini for the second shot. Any information you can provide will be appreciated.

I would be interested in joining the NAAV, if I had more information on it.
