Subject: USS Estes AGC 12

Greetings from Commissary, Robert (Ski) Majchrzak, from Michigan. I served aboard the AGC 12 USS Estes 55/58 - In the Marshall islands.

I was known then as Ski the butcher (Phone number 237), while you were in the mess hall enjoying your meal, we were down below one deck, Ray Scott (Scotty) and I preparing your nourishment for tomorrow's meals. Sometimes we needed assistants and I would let out that tarzan call for help, coming to the rescue from the galley was Frank & Marty.

Operation Redwing was a demonstration of power, nuclear devastation. Who! better than we, who participated are memorials of what this H-bomb is capable of doing, let us remind others, a nuclear war is truly an end to the world.

Those of you who would like to correspond, ventilate, let's hear from you.

The Estes was a great ship, that always had a great crew!

Bestest,

Robert (Ski) Majchrzak
