My name is Doliver Liptki and I was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, as a member of Battery C of the 53rd Field Artillery Battalion. I took part in the Teapot tests in Nevada, Desert Rock VI, by observation in a trench about 4000 yards away.

I don't remember to much about it anymore, but what I do remember was that airplanes dropped the bombs and they had some dug in the ground and some on top of towers. I do know we did not have any other clothing than our army uniforms. They did give us dark glasses so that it would not burn our eyes when the bomb went off.

When I got out of the sevice in November of 1955, I came home to the family farm. My teeth became very bad and my gums would bleed when I brushed them. I then had a lot of heart problems and had my first operation in the year of 1965. After the first operation I got diabetic. I had my other operation in 1986. All my heart veins keep plugging up and what ever I eat puts on fat. I was wondering if anybody else out there has had any heart problems due to this radiation. I believe this is where my problem started.
