My name is Pres N. Ilog, ETC, USN Ret. I reported abord the USS Curtiss
(AV-4) as a TN and later switched to SN. Mr. Richards was my Division
Officer in the Steward Division and Mr. Oliver in the Electronic Divsion (OE
Div.). CDR Lawrence was the Executive Office when I reported onboard and CDR
Jackson relieved him later.
I served aboard the USS Curtiss (AV-4) from 1955 to 1957. I was aboard when
the Operation Wigwam and Operation Deepfreeze were conducted in 1955. I spent
several days in Eniwetok aboard the Curtiss as a member of the
decontamination team in the same year.
