I obtained your web page address from an old (really old) shipmate from
my days aboard USS NAVASOTA. I was an 18 year old RM3 aboard NAVASOTA
during operation REDWING under CTF 77 in the Bikini/Eniwetok area. I
stayed on in the Navy for 25 years, got commissionedd and retired in
1980. If possible I would like to add my name to your list of
participants.
Thanks,
By the way, (and I'm sure you are already on top of this), the Defense
Nuclear Agency sent me a bunch of paper work a few years ago (apparently
my name came up in their computer as a REDWING participant whose
toenails glow in the dark. The correspondenc goes on to explain special
VA benefits for the particpants in this nuclear testing. If you haven't
been so contacted, I would be happy to pass on the info to you.
