Is there an association of Atomic bomb test veterans? Please inform. I was on USS Fall River, carrying Admiral Fahrion's flag. We were the flagship for target vessels. Thank you.

Thanks for the get back. As I said, I was on the heavy cruiser Fall River CA-131. As I had only been in the Navy about 8 months, I was striking for Motor Machinists Mate. My job was Small Boat Crewman. I guess I must have travelled 1000 knots between target ships! We were about the first ship there, and didn't leave until about the last. The thing that really stands out in my menory, is that we went in pretty soon after both Able and Baker, and I remember as those 24 foot boats we were flying across those rough waves - we were soaked most of the time, and I thought then, " Isn't this kinda risky?"
