Another Study Planned?
The controversy still swirling about the country as to whether or not the United States Government has kept hidden
the extent of their knowledge concerning the causes of debilitating health problems that many of the men and women
involved in operation Desert Storm are now suffering from, continues on and on with no end in sight.
Lies and deceit have long been the watch word of the Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration
when dealing with veterans exposed to Ionizing Radiation and Agent Orange, and unfortunately, it continues to this
day for those service men and women afflicted with what is now called Gulf War Syndrome.
For too long, these same government agencies have conducted study after study of the health problems claimed by
these veterans, using Scientific and Medical experts employed by the U.S. Government to reach conclusions they claim
are accurate.
All too often, veterans filing a claim for medical benefits find it to be a losing cause, for the VA and DoD have the
power to cloak themselves from having to admit any wrong doing by invoking sovereign immunity. The governments
translation of sovereign immunity is: The King can do no wrong, and therefore, those who do the King's bidding
cannot be held accountable.
During my military service, I and several hundred thousand others were deliberately exposed to ionizing radiation, and
guess what, for over forty years the U.S. government denied any responsibility for the resulting health problems we
and our families suffered.
The aforementioned government agencies both seem to have the same arrogant attitude when dealing with these
veterans, that attitude being: We don't say it because it's true, It's true because we say it!
