My name is Mansel Richard Cunningham and a veteran of ww11. I was in nagaski 9/11/1945 right after the bomb was dropped. I was on the USS Wichita CA45 and went in to greet the allied prisoners of war. My ship was part of the magic carpet fleet that evacuated the prisoners out of Japan. We greeted the prisoners at the train when they were brought in . This is a memory I shall never forget.
