You should report to Marine Landing DATE: ORANGE TIME: 0930

SAFETY INSTURCTIONS:

1. Thermal, flash blindness, and retinal hazards or ORANGE are expected to be of such magnitude that no personnel at manned stations on Johnson Island or Sand Island or aboard the USS LANSING, USS SAFEGUARD, or USS PELIE GROVE may view the denotation.

2. Personnel aboard the USS BOXER will be allowed to view the event if they are outfitted with high density goggles, long sleeve shirts and long trousers.

3. Exposed skin areas of the face and neck should be covered with suntan lotion, or you should face away from the detonation point.

4. If you face the dentonation without exposed skin areas covered with suntan lotion, you may experience some discomfort from sunburn.

5. At H-3 minutes, all personnel aboard the USS BOXER will put on high density goggles. Do not remove goggles until 10 seconds after the burst.

6. Any personnel without goggles should face away from the detonation point and cover their eyes with their hands.

7. In case of no detonation at zero time, hold your position with goggles on until officially advised of the shot status.

8. Clothing worn by personnel exposed to the burst should be of light color. Regulation tropical khaki is acceptable.
