June 14, 1998--Anniversary!! One year on the Internet. To each and every one of the Atomic Veterans, thank you very much !! It has been my priviledge and honor to record your recollections here. Thank you for your trust and your willingness to work with me in this new public communications medium, and thanks to those of you who have sent photos, certificates and other documents related to your service. Thank you to the family members who have had the courage to share their personal tragedy in many heart-rending emails, your loss and the suffering of your loved ones will not be forgotten. My hope that the people of the next century will replace war with peace is tempered with doubts, these stories warn of their future if they fail.
