August 31, 2000--Charles Holeman was aboard the USS Curtiss AV4, at Operations Greenhouse, Ivy and Wigwam.

August 31, 2000--Robert Celestial was attached to the 84th Engineer Battalion for the Clean-Up.

August 30, 2000-- John E. Jensen was with the 3623 Ordinance Co. at Operation Buster/Jangle.

August 29, 2000--Richard Mead was stationed aboard the USS Caliente AO-53 for Operation Redwing.

August 27, 2000--Dale Johnson a "Crater Gator" did a tour on Lojawa and worked on Runit during the Clean-Up.

August 26, 2000--James H. Taylor served aboard the USS Cabildo at Operation Dominic.

August 19, 2000--Robert M. Rhodes Jr. an Atomic Veteran of Operation Redwing 1956, Operation Plumbbob 1957, Operation Hardtack 1958 and who served with the First Radiological Safety Support Unit has passed away.

August 18, 2000--Lloyd Bobrow served in the military pay section of the
Joint Finance Office, during Operation Ivy.

August 18, 2000--Edmond Bartliff was an MP during Operation Castle.

August 7, 2000--Glen Pense served aboard the USS Wilson at
Operation Crossroads.

August 1, 2000--Richard L. Perkins was an ensign signal officer aboard the USS Bairoko, at Operation Castle.


July 27, 2000--Bill Searle was a records clerk in Depot Supply during Operation Redwing.

July 25, 2000--Jack B. Green was an RM1 on Japtan Island during Operation Standstone.

July 25, 2000--Red Royal was a Signalman on the USS Bairoko at
Operation Castle.

July 24, 2000-- Ronnel C. Brown Sr., was assigned to the Third Division, aboard the USS Badoeng Strait (CVE-116) at Operation Redwing.

July 24, 2000--Tony DiDomenico was a Blue Shirt on the forward flight deck of the USS Bairoko at Operation Castle.

July 24, 2000-- Victor DeLor was Pipefitter, 3rd class, serving aboard the USS Boxer during Operation Hardtack.

July 24, 2000--Thomas Welhouse was a Radioman 2nd Class aboard the USS Lipan (ATF-85) at Operation Redwing.

July 24, 2000--John F Healy was an Airman 3/C in the U.S.A.F. at Johnston Island, during Operation Hardtack.

July 14, 2000-- Robert L. Campbell Operation Greenhouse veteran and president of the Atomic Veterans Radiation Research Institute sends an announcement to All Atomic Veterans, their Families and Friends. It's official, National Day of Remembrance passes the Senate.

July 13, 2000-- Terry Brady Alaska State Commander sends an announcement to All Atomic Veterans, their Families and Friends. Governor of Alaska declares July 16, Day of Remembrance.

July 13, 2000----Notice--The reunion for U.S.S. Belle Grove LSD2 is being held at Fitzgerald's Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on the 17th of July until the 23rd. Denny L. Laughead, Operation Castle

July 13, 2000--Domingo M. (Jay) Vasquez Jr was with the 231st Engineer Combat Battalion at Operation Buster/Jangle.

July 13, 2000--Thomas J St. John Jr.was a MM 2C, on the USS Shangri-La at Operation Crossroads.

July 9, 2000--Ray F. Longaker Jr served aboard the USS Princeton, LPH-5 at Operation Dominic.

July 9, 2000--H. E. "Buddy" Engelhorn was aboard the USS Joyce DER 317 at Operation Hardtack.
