Subject: A bomb experience

I was a a member of the 2nd Marine Division that landed at Nagasaki, Japan, early Sept 1945. Our duty was to destroy all material associated with combat. There were many, many, 1 and 2 man subs, and hundreds of Kamazki planes located at the most southern part of Kyushu Island, town Miyazaki. The division landed at Nagasaki then were assigned to other parts of the island for demolition.

I've never seen so much total destruction in my life.

I might add that I was at ground zero many times, I have experienced NO PROBLEMS due to radiation. Some of my buddies were not so lucky.

I sincerely hope such bombs are never used again.
