One of the nuclear detonations announced by the Atomic Energy Commission of August 28 was held this morning at Nevada Test Site.

In response to press inquiries, the Atomic Energy Commission said:

An experimental nuclear detonation was conducted and desired scientific data were obtained.

The reports received up to 9:00 AM from the air and ground patrols indicate no radiation hazard in this area.

The CAA has been advised it may lift air traffic restrictions.
