Wheat Marketing Center
The Pacific Rim trading center for Northwest wheat is Portland's, Wheat Marketing Center. A non-profit corporation which was established in Portland for the purpose of providing wheat and end-product quality research and technical and market development support. Its board of directors is composed of representatives of the U.S Wheat farmers, the Port of Portland, export and country elevator operators and the Portland business community.

We have published eight editions of ten Historical Gazettes telling the history of wheat in the Pacific Northwest. We cover the period of 1825 through the turn of the 20th Century. These editions are available at the Interpretive Center in the landmark Albers Mill Building. The silos for this building is visible on the northwest side of the Broadway Bridge.
