Sturgeon

White Sturgeon, largest Freshwater fish in Western Hemisphere. White appearance with large diamond enclosed scales on their lateral line. These fish live to 100 plus years and grow to more than 14 feet in length. One of the premier gamefish which can be fished year round, the White Sturgeon commands a loyal following of anglers.

Location: Some coastal bays, estuaries and their tributaries in Oregon and Washington. The Columbia River and it's large tributaries like the Willamette and Snake Rivers.

Appearance: White appearance with large diamond enclosed scales on lateral line.

Size: Up to 14 feet.

Tackle: Baits like Smelt, Eel, Salmon, Shrimp and Herring. (See TACKLE BOX).

Season: Year round.
