Like the first robin of spring. A dedicated reader (oxymoron or fiction: you decide) of Alien Corn might notice that we tend to "just say no" to blog-crack, i.e., politics, hitting that pipe infrequently. However, as loyal cannon fodder in the great blog army, I feel it my duty to report that yesterday, a milestone was crossed: I saw my first 2008 presidential campaign bumper sticker. (It was for John Edwards, on an otherwise nondescript vehicle.) Apparently, Edwards' take-home message from 2004 was "work Iowa long and hard", and he has been doing just that. Can't imagine why, it's not like we're a politically significant state.
