Beer ingredient may fight prostate cancer
CORVALLIS, Ore. - A main ingredient in beer may help prevent prostate cancer and enlargement, according to a new study. But researchers say don't rush out to stock the refrigerator because the ingredient is present in such small amounts that a person would have to drink more than 17 beers to benefit.Yeah, so...?
Not only is beer good for you, but researchers also say coffee reverses alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. So drink up, but don't forget to set the coffee machine for tomorrow morning!

Back in my college days, I spent one summer working for an environment-raping firm that was contracted by another environment-raping firm to catch and move a population of gopher tortoises from one Florida sandhill community to another (community A was slated to become an office park). It was extremely hot, tiring, dirty, bug- and snake-infested work.
One of my favorite ways to end the workday was to go to a local watering hole and down a big glass of water (for dehydration), a cup of coffee (to wake up) and a pint of Bass Ale (to calm down). Now I see the secret wisdom of my actions.
