Your pre-Clovis morning interlude.
Some evidence for possible pre-Clovis human habitation has been
found in
Kansas. The apparently human-fractured bones of extinct mammoth and camel have been carbon-dated to 12,200 years ago. These were found with a flake that archeologists believe may have been part of a basalt hammer stone. If the discoveries pan out, this would be the oldest known site of human habitation on the Great Plains.
