On not being thick-headed about Paranthropus.
Carl Zimmer's excellent "The Loom" has moved to a
new location. Lots of chewy posts, as usual - you might be interested in checking out his
essay and his
new book on the history and foundations of modern neurology. And I enjoyed starting out the new year with a
re-evaluation of conventional wisdom, via
Paranthropus, on a question that has fascinated me since I first pored over that battered Time-Life
Evolution volume as a kid: what's up with all our hominid cousins bugging off the planet and leaving us
Homo alone?
