Synchronicity, or, Ask and Ye Shall Receive I suppose I could trouble myself to turn off comments on posts past their sell-by date, but I do think it's odd that people bother to post comments on old archived things that nobody's likely to see. I wouldn't have noticed this one if I hadn't been searching my site this morning for possible forgotten bloggings on Clare Short. Apparently an admirer of Ms. Short was also searching for references to her this morning, in obscure corners of the web. (On the very same morning I was idly looking for old posts on my site! More amazing than the Pet Psychic!) And indeed, his words must be a sign that the gods wanted me to see, as they were buried with a post from 2001.

That IP belongs to Telecom Internet Services Ltd., 16 Kingston St., Auckland, NZ. It's a dialup account.

Of course, you could contact Simon Anderson and let him know some of his users aren't abiding by the Site Policy.
