With all due respect, no. Outside of a very limited demographic, I dd not believe that this is an accurate description of American sentiment.

I'm a mild-mannered person, usually quite affable. One year ago, a group of people came to my country to murder thousands of innocent people, destroy buildings, damage our economy and disrupt our freedom of movement. I am very angry. And I don't think I'd be a better human being if I were willing to "heal" -- that is, feel OK -- about the murder of innocents while some of the killers are still alive and trying to kill more of us.
