Just Phur Phun - Photos From Machu Picchu!

"Good Morning Llullucha Pampa!" Our day 1 campsite lovingly situated at 11,500 ft in elevation. Now I'm no expert but, by the looks of this picture, I'd have to say that Linda's suffering from a severe case of "Pack Envy"... the famous Inca Trail Porters loaded up with about 80 lbs of gear each.
The original Inca Trail to Machu Picchu snaking through the Andes. The views from this section of the trail were particularly stunning. This speciman was found after the glaciers receded. It proves unequivocally that gringos were hiking the trail long before the Spaniards arrived.
The view from 13,776 ft Warmiwanuscca ("Dead Woman's Pass") all the way down to the Inca ruins of Runkuraqay. After talking everyone into carrying their own packs, Team Torres wanted to rename it "Dead Jeff Pass". Sunset at Sayacmarca, our day 2 campsite. Once again we camped at 11,500 ft in elevation.
Team Torres bags another trophy. Linda, Jeff, Deanna and Jed striking a pose with Machu Picchu in the background. The "in-crowd" on top of Huayna Picchu.
One of the most dramatic places on Earth: Machu Picchu in all its glory.
