Obtaining and Forwarding Email Headers using Apple OS X Mail

When reporting spam that slips past the filters, it is essential that we receive the full message headers from a message. Additionally, sometimes our Support department may request the full headers from an email message in order to troubleshoot mail delivery problems. Please follow these instructions to obtain and forward full message headers in Apple's OS X Mail program.

1. Select the message for which you want the full message headers
2. Click the View pull-down menu, and then choose Show All Headers or press command-shift-h on the keyboard
3. Click the Forward button.
4. Fill in spamreport@aracnet.com as the To: address (assuming that the message is being forwarded to report spam. If our support department requested the message, change the email address accordingly).
5. Send the message.
