Picture probably at Rongerik. LTJG fires service revolver. Perhaps to let every body know where they are. Rongerik Atoll evidently was uninhabited except for the weather Island.

Apparently, according to Rudy Hartmann, (PC 1546 crewman) we were on our regular air sea rescue duty at Kwaj when we were sent out to Rongelap for reasons I am not sure of. That's where I took that film. It was after that when we returned to Pearl that we were sent back for Patrol at Bikini. We did make another or maybe 2 more trips to Rongelap after Bravo but I didn't get any pictures because all cameras were confiscated. Bob Carlomagno
